Sorry to burst your bubble...sort of. I know. I get it. We are programmed to believe that welln
ess means we fit into a size smaller than what we are. I too spend way to much time focused on how bloated I am or am not; especially right before I'm about to teach a virtual fitness class. But I want to you read that again...wellness is not a size. It doesn't begin because you're a certain size and doesn't end when you reach one.
Wellness = noun
1. the state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal.
You see? Wellness is a state of being in good health, and I'll add to that being in good mental, emotional, spiritual and physical health.
Yes, you can (and should) have a goal physical of wellness, but it is possible to focus on and be successful in on area of wellness and fail miserably in another. Our goal should be balanced wellness. Why? It's simple; all areas of wellness are connected and impact each other.
